Asato Dojo 国際武道交流館

Welcome to the Asato Dojo, based in Naha, Okinawa. We are an international dojo where you can learn a range of fighting arts from resident and visiting experienced teachers of Okinawan arts and others.

The dojo is led by James Pankiewicz who teaches Matsubayashi/Shorinryu karate and kobudo. In addition we offer weekly classes in Gojuryu karate led by Andrea Klementisova. We also benefit from regular teaching support from Toshimitsu Arakaki, Patrick McCarthy and Dan Antonsen. All of our instructors are qualified to at least 5th dan in an Okinawan based school of martial arts. Most are also bilingual and with years of experience training in Okinawa and Japan.

Training date and time / Location

Junior classes - Monday/Wednesday/Friday from 16:45. Saturday from 16:00.
Shorinryu karate classes - Monday and Friday from 19:00, Saturday from 14:00.
Gojuryu karate class - Tuesday from 19:00
Kobudo class - Wednesday from 19:00.
