HOME > Budo Dojo Guide > Budojo Mudo-juku (Daito-ryu Aikijujutsu, Shoto-ryu Karatedo)

We train Daito-ryu Aikijujutsu and Shoto-ryu Karatedo with a focus on kata practice.
The head instructor, Kenji Motobayashi, studied under Soho Hayakawa, the founder of Wado in Kanazawa, and also studied Toshimi Matsuda’s Daito-ryu in Gunma, Japan.

The main focus is on mastery of kata and continuous training, so Jiyu-kumite is not done. No reservation is required to observe or trial the class. There is no prescribed uniform.

Training date and time / Location

Practice Location: Multipurpose room on the 1st floor of Kanazawa Central Gymnasium (3-3-3 Kanazawa Naga machi) Practice days: Every Saturday and Sunday Practice time: 18:00-20:00
