Tenshinsho-den Katori Shinto-ryu was the first Japanese budo to be designated as an Intangible Cultural Property in 1960. It is a comprehensive budo art that includes kenjutsu, bojutsu, sojutsu, naginatajutsu, jujutsu, iaijutsu, and shuriken, and also includes the more advanced techniques of chikujoho and ninjutsu.
