Yakumaru Jigen-ryu Kensho-kai

Under the guidance of Yasuo Yakumaru, the 14th headmaster of Yakumaru-ryu, we have weekly training sessions at two locations in Kagoshima and Tokyo.
We also hold a dedication demonstration at Tsurumine Shrine, which enshrines the ancestral spirits of successive generations of the Shimazu family.
Through the training of bujutsu, we carry on the samurai spirit of Satsuma and pass on the Satsuma samurai’s spiritual culture to the next generation.

Morning practice is held every Sunday by Soke Dojo. Place: Fukushoji Temple in Ikenoue-cho, Kagoshima City (behind Gyokuryu Junior and Senior High School). Time: 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
