We teach the basis of Kashima shinden Jikishinkage-ryu, the origin of Kashima-ryu, which originates from Kashima Jingu Shrine.
Students will learn koryu kenjutsu, iai (kata), and battojutsu (the art of the actual slashing sword).
We practice the saying, “A master of kenjutsu is a master of iai, and a master of iai is a master of kenjutsu”.
We also perform dedication activities at Kashima Jingu Shrine, Izumo Taisha Shrine, etc.
