Yagyu Sekishusai Munetoshi succeeded to the “Shinkage-ryu” of Kamiizumi Isenomori Nobutsuna, and it became the “Yagyu Shinkage-ryu”.
Ono (Yagyu) Matsuemon, high disciple of Sekishusai, became a military trainer of the Hagi clan, and opened the path of Yagyu Shinkage-ryu in the western part of Japan.
Our dojo teaches a variety of techniques with an emphasis on practical Riai of koryu. This includes iai kenpo, jojutsu, kodachi, tessen, and taijutsu. We train with the spirit of “I will slay my enemy, whose enemy is my evil heart”.
