Yagyu Shinkage-ryu (Edo Yagyu) was introduced to Awa (Tokushima) by Gouemonji Yoshikuni Kimura, a direct disciple of Lord Munenori Yagyu and Lord Jubei.
Kyubukan Dojo was established in 1905 by the first headmaster, Toshio Genjiro Kubo, who was called the “Kensei” of the Meiji era.
