International Okinawa Goju-ryu Karatedo federatio Yokohama branch Ryurei-kan
Okinawa Goju-ryu is one of the representative styles of Okinawan karate, which has been handed down from Ryu Ryu Ko, Higaonna Kanryo, Miyagi Chojun, Miyagi Anichi, and Higaonna Morio.
The offensive and defensive techniques of Okinawan Goju-ryu are masterfully executed with a well-trained body and breathing techniques.
We will practice breathing exercises in Sanchin of forging kata and Tensho of Ju kata. Students will learn offensive and defensive training from kata.
In kumite, regardless of whether it is non-contact or full-contact, students practice the “Irikumi” and “Kakie”, the traditional forms of Okinawa Goju-ryu.
