Shingetsu Muso Yanagi-ryu

Our school was founded by Iwanaga Gennoko Masamitsu in Horeki 3. Iwanaga sensei served the Nabeshima family as a bujutsu instructor, and his school has been handed down as the “Otomeryu Bujutsu”, which has never been practiced outside of the clan. Our style is a comprehensive bujutsu, characterized by performing techniques without stiffness, without force, and without running out of moves. If one performs this without arms, it is called jujutsu; if one holds a sword, it is kenjutsu; and if one holds a spear, it is sojutsu. If one performs taisabaki in accordance with the rules of our school, then one can perform bujutsu with any weapon.
