Complimentary Experience: Join Our Exclusive Test Tour!
Are you a martial artist or Aikido practitioner looking for a deeper connection with the roots of Aikido?
This November, we invite a limited number of participants from all over the world to a special 2-night, 3-day Aikido experience tour in Kasama, Ibaraki, one of the places most closely associated with the later life and practice of Aikido founder Morihei Ueshiba.
The tour is designed around the concept "Touch the Source of Aikido", combining authentic Aikido training with visits to important historical sites and experiences of the local culture of Kasama.
Organized by BAB JAPAN, with Local Support from Kasama City and the
Aikikai Ibaraki Branch Dojo
The tour is organized by BAB JAPAN, the publisher of HIDEN, a Japanese magazine specializing in Budo and Bujutsu, and the company behind BUDOJAPAN.com, an international media platform introducing Japanese martial arts and culture to audiences around the world.
The program is being developed and carried out with the cooperation of Kasama City and the Aikikai Ibaraki Branch Dojo, creating a unique opportunity to experience Aikido alongside the history, culture, and local character of Kasama.
This test tour is conducted as part of a project commissioned
by the Japan Sports Agency.
Train in the Land Where Morihei Ueshiba Spent His Later Years
A unique opportunity to deeply experience
authentic training and culture.
Kasama, including the former town of Iwama, is deeply connected with
the later life of Morihei Ueshiba.
Here, the Founder devoted himself to Aikido training while cultivating
the land and pursuing a self-sufficient way of life—a philosophy
sometimes described as "武農一如 (Bu-Nō-Ichi-Nyo)," the unity of martial
practice and agriculture.
The area is also home to Aiki Shrine, established by Morihei Ueshiba,
and the historic Aikikai Ibaraki Branch Dojo, where generations of
Aikido practitioners have continued their training.
For practitioners from overseas, this is an opportunity not simply to visit
a famous Aikido site, but to experience training and culture in the very
environment associated with the Founder's later years.
